Circulation spaces for emerging artists are bureaucratized to such an extent that aesthetics, technique or execution are not the attributes that usually open the doors to exhibition spaces. Social or financial capital continue to be the express passport to achieve visibility within the world of traditional art. For this reason, the Restaurando Futuro Foundation, through Taiba Lab - Arts & Tech project, has been working to consolidate a circulation space in the Metaverse of Somnium Space VR for fellow artists.
The blockchain has brought with it an interesting series of changes in the dynamics of social interaction, one of the most outstanding being organic solidarity within the community. Real estate branding within the metaverse is a thriving business that is sure to grow exponentially in the years to come. Within Somnium Space VR, reasonable values are still maintained to acquire parcels and there is a kind of unwritten code under which the renting process is given as a result of a trust process where the owner assigns it manually after a negotiation.
Our gallery of NFTs from the metaverse currently hosts pieces by Colombian artists such as Monith, Corve, Jacv, Aa12stt, Miranda Tatto, Quinta Essentia, Alejo, Nvrclose and a selection of works made during the work sessions with the children and adolescents of the Cay village in the municipality of Ibagué - Tolima. Each of these pieces will support the inauguration of a virtual room where the cultural exchange activities proposed by Taiba Lab - Arts & Tech will take place.
